Good morning! I just wanted to reach out and say THANK YOU! Your podcast has come into our lives at exactly the right time. I’m the youngest of three girls. Our mom was very recently diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer’s. She turns 80 this month and is healthy, active, a social butterfly, and still lives independently. One of my sisters and I make up her entire non-medical care team. She’s actually the one who found your podcast, and every week we’re amazed by how much your journey mirrors ours. It’s gotten to the point where we’ve started referring to you as “our other sisters.” 😂 We were just talking yesterday about how every single episode makes us laugh at least once because we completely understand the funny, unexpected, and sometimes ridiculous moments that come with this disease. It’s such a relief to hear people talk about those moments so honestly, because they’re so real. Thank you for sharing your story with such honesty, humor, and heart. While I wish none of us had a reason to connect over Alzheimer’s, your podcast has made us feel so much less alone. It has already helped us more than you probably realize. - Nicole (and Michelle)
Thank you so much for sharing your journey. My sisters and I also live across the country from our 86 year old mom. We are still trying to convince her to get tested for Alzheimer’s. We can relate to so many of the things you have discussed. We really appreciate your transparency, especially in the last episode. This is a wonderful podcast! It will help so many people!
